Losses and Delays of NIH Grant Funding

Dear IDSOG Family,

I am looking forward to seeing our members at the Annual Meeting in Minneapolis July 2025.

IDSOG is collaborating partner in the Women First Research Coalition (WFRC). The coalition advocates for the prioritization of the federal investment in women’s health research. WFRC is collecting information about both success stories in women’s health research and the challenges being created by the current administration policies. These policies may include funding freezes, the NIH cap on indirect costs, or other executive actions that have impacted research in women’s health.

It is critical that we share both the successes and challenges with Congress as we advocate for women’s health research in Fiscal Year 2026. I would encourage you to submit your experiences related to loss or delay in NIH funding. We will provide a link to submit this information. Your responses will be shared with WFRC to assist with lobbying on the behalf of our members. You may share this survey link with reproductive health colleagues who may be experiencing these difficulties.

Let us know if you have any questions and thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely,

Gweneth Lazenby, MD MSCR
